The counting of votes for the Central Panel has started from 3 pm on Saturday night in the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union elections, which is still going on. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was leading in the initial trends as per the counting of votes from Science, Engineering and many other centres. The picture will be clear after the counting of language school votes is completed. Actually the left dominates there.
Counting of votes started at 3 pm on Friday in JNU campus. In the ongoing counting of votes, the results of the first school counselor candidates were released. ABVP had claimed on Saturday that the saffron had made a clean sweep of five out of nine school counselor posts. Apart from this, he has also won 12 out of 18 councilor seats. However, JNU Students Union Election Committee did not give any official information about the victory on the results of any counselor seat on Saturday. There has been an increase of about five percent in the voting in JNU Students Union elections as compared to last year due to voters being aware.
ABVP said that ABVP has won all three posts of School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies, only one post of School of Nano Science, all four posts of School of Engineering and all three posts of School of Computer System and Sciences. Apart from this, ABVP is also maintaining a huge lead in Science Centre.
